Professional Experience


Onteca, Liverpool

Date: October 2008 - February 2010
Role: IT Support Technician

First point of contact for Onteca's employees. Responsible for building, repairing and upgrading PC systems, managing the local network of around 20 workstations and resolving any other issues users faced from network access to operating system issues. Key Achievements

Was able to successfully recover a number of personal files for a user that had inadvertently formatted their hard drive. Built and set up systems from scratch and created a small independent network used for training purposes. Participated in configuration of a Windows 2003 server used to run a beta client for a massively multiplayer game, which Onteca were developing.


Valley Theatre, Netherley

Date: 2009 - 2013
Role: (Voluntary, as required) IT Support and Network Administrator

Responsibilities as the only IT professional in the organisation include working closely with the organisation manager, striving to support the staff with anything they need from PC repairs to Active Directory administration and network security to the best of my ability. Key Achievements

Identified and resolved port forwarding issues which were preventing remote access to the main SBS Server at Valley Theatre. Set up a WiFi access router on the network for visitors to use the on-site internet connection without compromising the employee network (sub netted IPs). Other Key Roles


The Griffin Trust

Role: Website developer

As part of my second year Bachelor's degree, I designed and developed a new HTML / CSS based website for The Griffin Trust (www.griffintrust.org.uk), which I still maintain at their discretion.

Key Achievements

I developed a working relationship with staff at the trust and was wholly responsible for scheduling, arranging meetings, making recommendations and gathering materials for the design. Team-working, time management, project management and people skills were developed during this time, as well as my web development skills.

Student representative - Foundation degree, Wirral Metropolitan College

As student representative I was responsible for speaking to students about any concerns or difficulties they were experiencing with the course and relaying the information to tutors and university staff during meetings. As a result of this I was invited to attend a faculty meeting at the end of the 2012 / 13 academic year.


Resident Warden - Abbeygate Student Accommodation (Fresh Student Living)

While staying at the site and studying the final year of my Bachelor's degree, I took on a part time role as resident warden with the organisation (Fresh Student Living).
My responsibilities during this time included dealing with tenant queries and room issues, bookings and telephone queries and fire alarm testing.
